Paid summer internships open to city high school students

The Paterson Habitat for Humanity is taking applications to place city high school students in paid internship programs during the summer months.

Students selected for the program will be placed at local companies for seven-week internship program at $8.50 per hour. Interns will participate in workshops from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Fridays to build skills.

Students will also be required to attend to cultural enrichment filed trips. The 2015 internships run from June 29 through August 14.

The group will also host an information session on Wednesday, May 13 at 5 p.m. at the habitat’s office located at 146 North 1st Street, Paterson, NJ to cover all aspect of the program and provide young people tips on how develop job skills and secure employment.
