City police arrested a 31-year-old Union City man who allegedly stabbed 17-year-old Nadjhier Barner-Timmons three weeks ago near the railroad tracks along 18th Avenue and East 26th Street.
Samuel Rua was arrested on Friday at about 9:30 p.m. on Market Street and East 26th Street and charged with murder, robbery, and weapons offenses in the death of Barner-Timmons, said detectives captain Heriberto Rodriguez.
Rua allegedly fatally stabbed Barner-Timmons on April 25th, 2015. Detective lieutenant Stanley Rodriguez, detective sergeant Richard Latrecchia, detectives Jack DeSalvo, Steve Lieshman, Abe Hamdeh, Maribel Seabrooks, and Passaic County Prosecutor’s detective Paul Wesing investigated the case, said police.
