City police issued numerous warnings and 25 loud noise violations tickets during a weekend quality of life operation, said police director Jerry Speziale.
Police also issued 15 motor vehicle violations, said the director. The Quality of Life Unit, which was deployed to tackle residents’ quality of life complaints, began addressing loud noise complaints from Friday through Sunday from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., according to police.
“Noise effects the quality of life for our residents and leads to other neighborhood disorder,” said Speziale. He said the unit operated by police officers Robert Delacruz and Ryan Duffy dispatched all three days to address loud noise complaints.
“Clearly, this effort impacts on the quality of life for our residents and enables our patrol division to focus on more serious matters,” said Speziale.
