Two revolvers were recovered stashed in the area of Lyons Street Thursday night, according to Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik.
Sheriff’s detectives responded and searched the area after being provided with information that guns were stashed at the location. Two Rossi revolvers were found concealed in a bag, authorities said.
Detectives recovered a .44 Smith & Wesson and a .38 special, authorities said. Berdnik said no ammunition was recovered with the weapons.
Community guns are shared weapons used by gang members and criminals to commit crime. Members use the guns when needed and return it to the hidden location afterwards.
