A New York City musician with Paterson roots has donated $5,000 to the city’s recreation department on Thursday morning.
Liam Lis presented the check to city officials Thursday morning at City Hall. The 13-year-old artist has been performing with city rapper Fetty Wap.
Lis will be the opening act in Wap’s concert later today at Bauerle Field House on Oak Street. Lis’s grandfather Henry Shinefield was born and raised in the Silk City. Shinefield attended Eastside High School from 1937-41.
