Two people were wounded in early Thursday morning shootings on McLean Boulevard and North Main Street.

The first victim, a 30-year-old city man, was a passenger in a vehicle traveling southbound on Route 20 also known as McLean Boulevard between East 36th and East 37th streets at around 12:10 a.m. when another vehicle traveling next to it fired wounding the victim in the face.

Police said the victim made it to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center on a private vehicle. “The suspect vehicle fled the area, and the victim was driven to the hospital for treatment,” Patrick Murray, head of the Ceasefire Unit, said.

Murray said the victim is in stable condition at the hospital.

The second victim, 35-year-old city man, was among a crowd of people who congregated at Cobb Park on North Main and East Main streets at around 1:55 a.m. “At that time, an unidentified subject walked up on the group and fired several times striking the victim in the abdomen,” Murray said.

Murray said the victim was transported to the hospital for treatment where he remains in critical condition.
