Valley National Bank hosted a donation drive at its seventh annual breast cancer walk for the Center of United Methodist Aid to the Community (CUMAC) collecting 1,400 pounds of food, according to the bank.

Bank employees, customers, and others brought in food items during the drive. The collected food items were delivered to CUMAC on Tuesday. Valley National Bank also made a $3,000 monetary contribution in support of CUMAC’s mission to alleviate hunger in Paterson, Passaic County, and northern New Jersey.

Bank branches throughout Passaic County will continue to collect food items for CUMAC, the largest food pantry in the county, until November 20, 2015.

The food pantry has been serving low-income individuals for over 40 years. It approximately feeds 3,400 people every month.
