City police arrested two alleged drug dealers when they raided a North 4th Street home on Tuesday afternoon, said police director Jerry Speziale.

More than 500 glassines of heroin and a loaded handgun was recovered from the raid at 8 North 4th Street at about 5 p.m., said the director.

City residents Floyd Bynum, 33, of Colonial Avenue; Julius McCutchen, 28, of North 4th Street were arrested on drug charges, said the director.

Bynum was also charged with marijuana possession, said the director. He allegedly had one knotted bag of marijuana, said the director.

McCutchen was also charged with having in possession a loaded Glock 9mm handgun, said the director. He was also charged with having hollow point bullets, possession of a large capacity magazine, and possession of drug paraphernalia, said the director.

Speziale said the handgun was reported stolen out of Pennsylvania.

$3,520 in suspected drug proceeds was confiscated from Bynum. And $342 was confiscated from McCutchen, said the director.

“We will continue our efforts to combat the sale of illegal drugs in our city,” said Speziale. “Those that think they can hide inside a location and sell drugs are only fooling themselves as we will continue to rid our city of illegal drugs.”
