A man was shot and killed outside a home on Montgomery Street late Saturday night.

The victim was shot to death at around 11:30 p.m. on Montgomery Street between Rosa Parks Boulevard and Mercer Street.

Police responded to the scene after getting alert of four shots fired in the area. The homicide is under investigation by police.

Four hours later in a violent night, a second person was shot in the city on Main and Weiss streets, according to police. The 39-year-old victim in the second shooting remains in critical but stable condition at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center. The victim was wounded in a possible altercation outside a bar at around 4:15 a.m. Sunday.
