As most of you know, on January 2016 my tenure as a member of the Paterson board of education will expire. I want to thank the 2,174 voters who went to the polls to cast their vote of confidence in my leadership.

It is you who recognized that my level of advocacy for special education students and parents of special education students was unmatched and unparalleled. It was an honor to serve as your commissioner and public servant for the last 3 years.

As I look forward to the days ahead with great expectation, I pray that you enjoy this festive occasion. Whether you celebrate Kwanzaa, Christmas or Hanukkah—enjoy it with family, friends and those who love you.
