The Greater Alliance Federal Credit Union is looking to give out $7,500 in scholarship money to high school seniors in Passaic and Bergen counties and is taking video applications until March 31, 2016.

Applicants must make video submissions that show originality, creativity, ability to deliver a message in clear, cohesive, and impact manner. Entries will also be judged on effectiveness in addressing the scholarship question and accuracy of information presented.

Students are asked to share their submissions online with friends and family members to vote for their videos. The top five highly voted videos will be judged by the Rocco Montessano Scholarship Foundation committee named after one of the credit union’s founders.

First place winner will get $3,500, second place $2,500, and third place $1,500 in scholarship money to be used for tuition, books, lodging, or meals cost payable to any college or technical school the student is attending.

The scholarship is open to credit union members in Bergen and Passaic counties. The Greater Alliance Federal Credit Union has a branch in downtown Paterson.
