The president and chief executive officer of Joseph’s Regional Medical Center Jane Frances Brady is being recognized by the Hawthorne-based nonprofit Healing the Children of New Jersey for helping hundreds of children.

Brady is being honored with the organization’s Lifetime Achievement Award in May for supporting and being actively involved with the Healing the Children of New Jersey for a long time.

Brady has been involved with the nonprofit since its birth in 1981. She accepted the first child brought to New Jersey by the nonprofit to receive donated care. Since then, Brady has helped hundreds of children, according to the group.

The nonprofit has as its mission to “create a world where every child has access to quality medical care.”

Brady also has been the trip administrator for the nonprofit’s Medical Teams Abroad Program. She participated in 15 trips through Kenya, El Salvador, Panama, Morocco, Armenia, Honduras, and the Dominican Republic.

Healing the Children of New Jersey, which has helped more than 35,000 children with donated medical care, will honor Brady at its 35 years of service celebration on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit.

Tickets to the Healing the Children of New Jersey Gala are $150 per person and can be obtained through htcnj.org. For more information contact the nonprofit at (973) 949-5034.
