Let me begin by pointing out that there are 2 sets of Democrats in Paterson. We have machine Democrats and REAL DEMOCRATS. Someone pointed out to me I am NOT a machine democrat, but a REAL democrat!
I support REAL Democrats. To me, Aslon Goow is a real democrat who represents the public well. While in office he wasn’t timid when it came to addressing the issues. He couldn’t care less about being politically correct when he saw that the 2nd Ward was being mistreated. He has always been a standup guy and a solid advocate for accountability in city hall.
And just like Goow, I too have no problem going out in the front lines and making waves by speaking up. The reason why I mentioned that is because there are candidates floating around the city touting the idea that the “party” supports their candidacy.
We don’t need any puppets in city hall.
What we need are LEADERS who are NOT scared to speak up and fight back against machine politics that have done nothing but damage us as a city. Now, one thing you must know about me is that I don’t owe anyone anything. I’m not in anyone’s pocket, and I don’t have one of those “no show” jobs. So, I can freely support whoever I feel will be the best person for the office, which is a rare thing to do nowadays.
In my opinion the 2nd Ward must reelect Aslon Goow to that seat.
You can agree or disagree with me but you have to admit that with all the chaos going on in Paterson right now we need strong leaders in City Hall who won’t cave to political pressure from the Mayor’s office. We need leaders who will stand and fight for the community and taxpayers by any means necessary.
Leaders with integrity, determination and an understanding of the responsibilities that go along with holding office. That leader is Aslon Goow! 2nd Ward voters: don’t accept anything less than the best for your Ward.
Don’t allow anyone to buy your vote! You have a right to go to the polls and select the best candidate for the seat.
Again, in my opinion, that person is Councilman Alson Goow!
