Three families – 14 people — were displaced as a result of a fire on North 3rd Street on Friday afternoon, said deputy fire chief Ryan Murray.
Murray said firefighters responded to 94 North 3rd Street at about 3:48 p.m. He said the fire started in apartment 5 and was quickly under control at the three-story home.
One firefighter sustained a minor injury at the scene, said Murray. The firefighter suffered a cut to the nose, he said.
The three families have been provided emergency assistance including temporary lodging by the American Red Cross of New Jersey region.
