Two city men were wounded in latest shootings from late Saturday night into early Sunday morning, according to police.
Police said a 48-year-old man was wounded on Spring Street while an 18-year-old man was shot on 12th Avenue.
The 48-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to the leg on Spring and Weiss Streets. Police said he was with a group of people in the area at about 11:35 p.m. when a light color SUV pulled up, several men exited, and one of them fired multiple shots striking the victim.
Police said the suspects searched the victim after he was shot and took his personal property.
The 18-year-old is in critical condition after being wounded in the torso during a shooting on 12th Avenue and Carroll Street at about 2:56 a.m. on Sunday, said police.
This marks yet another violent weekend in the city. So far this month 9 people have been wounded and 1 person was shot dead in a violent cycle that started at the start of August and continued into September.
