A city man has died from injuries he sustained from a shooting on 12th Avenue late Friday night, according to police.

Cosmeik Gee, 29-year-old, was shot in the corner of 12th Avenue and East 23rd Street at about 11:45 p.m. He was sitting in his car when he was fatally wounded, said police.

Gee was provided aid at the scene while ambulance arrived to rush him to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center. He was pronounced dead by doctors at the hospital, said police director Jerry Speziale.

This is the city’s 17th shooting in September. Police continue to investigate the shooting.
