A city man has been arrested for allegedly inappropriately touching a young girl in Paramus, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.

Barrington C. Hibbert, an information technology engineer, was charged with aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, authorities said on Wednesday.

Authorities said Hibbert allegedly touched the juvenile female on Sept. 29, 2016. His bail is set at $250,000 with no 10-percent option.

Hibbert is to have no contact with the victim or her family and is required to surrender his passport, authorities said. He is being held at the Bergen County Jail pending a court appearance.

Authorities said Hibbert is schedule for an initial appearance at the Bergen County Court on Friday, Oct. 14, 2016.
