An 18-year-old city man was wounded in a shooting on Rosa Parks Boulevard late Tuesday night, according to police.
Police said the victim suffered a gunshot wound to the face at about 11:10 p.m. on Rosa Parks Boulevard and Putnam Street as he sat in the passenger seat of a vehicle parked at the intersection.
Gunfire from the street entered the vehicle striking the victim in the facial area, said police. He arrived at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center via private vehicle seeking medical treatment.
The 18-year-old is in critical, but stable condition, said police. Police located evidence of a crime scene at the intersection and continue to investigate the incident.
