44-12th-avenue

Four people were arrested on Tuesday afternoon in a drug raid at a 12th Avenue housing complex notorious for drug dealing.

Police seized 881 glassines of heroin and 191 vials of crack-cocaine at the raid at 44 12th Avenue at about 5:09 p.m., said police director Jerry Speziale.

City residents Dijon Lucast, 24, of Carroll Street; Kaheem Davis, 25, of Harrison Street; Herman Johnson, 53, of Godwin Avenue; and Nicole Barile, 26, of Broadway were charged with various drug offenses, said police.
Police charged Lucast and Davis with eight drug charges. Both were also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest by flight, said police.

Johnson was charged with nine drug charges. Barile was charged with having 10 packets of heroin.

Police received large number of complaints about drug dealing at the complex.

“The narcotics division partnership with the community has really made an impact on the information and action being taken to remove drugs from our streets,” said Speziale.
