Firefighters extinguished a single-alarm fire at an auto body shop on West Broadway on Thursday morning, according to deputy fire chief Frank Calamita.
Firefighters responded to 126 West Broadway at about 7:37 a.m. “Smoke was coming out of the roof,” said the deputy chief. He said firefighters had to get to the blaze by cutting through the steel gates of the auto body shop.
Firefighters had the blaze under control at 8:30 a.m. at the one-story auto body shop, said Calamita.
No one was injured or displaced in the blaze, said the deputy chief. He said the shop remains closed pending repairs.
