A 33-year-old city man wounded in the abdomen in a late Sunday night shooting on Harrison Street and Rosa Parks Boulevard is in critical condition at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, according to police.
Police said initial investigation suggests the victim was in the area at about 11:50 p.m. when he was accosted by a group of individuals that led to an altercation. One of the suspects pulled out a gun and fired striking the victim in the abdomen.
The victim had himself transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center by private vehicle, according to police.
