Police arrested three people in a drug bust on East 25th Street seizing 2.1 pounds of marijuana, $10,385 cash, and 70 grams of cocaine, said police director Jerry Speziale.
Speziale said Tuesday afternoon’s drug bust resulted from residents’ complaints of drug dealing at 150 East 25th Street. Multiple cars were continuously going in and out of the area, reported residents to police.
Police arrested city residents Jonathan Mejia, 29; Camilo Mejia, 35; and Vanessa Gonzalez, 35, on drug charges. Both Mejias reside at 150 East 25th Street, according to police.
Jonathan Mejia was charged with nine separate drug offenses. Camilo Mejia was charged with six drug offenses, said police. Police confiscated $7,685 from Jonathan Mejia and $2,700 from Camilo Mejia, said the director.
Police also seized drug paraphernalia from the Mejias.
