Forty-three people were arrested in warrant sweep in Passaic County this week, Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik said on Friday afternoon.

Detectives from the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office worked side by side with United States Marshal’s Joint Fugitive Task Force to execute a four-day criminal warrant sweep, authorities said.

55 warrants were executed and 43 arrests made beginning on Monday, Berdnik said. Six Paterson residents were arrested on serious charges.

Sandy Allen, 53, was arrested for weapon possession. Rasheed Barr, 26, was picked up for burglary and drug possession. Jermiah Carter, 36, was arrested for criminal sexual contact. Robert Covington, 42, was charged with aggravated assault. Hamed Hasan, 24, was arrested on kidnapping charge. And Davon Watkins, 32, was arrested on weapon possession and burglary, authorities said.

“It is important that all Superior Court Warrants are enforced,” Berdnik said. “Taking 43 criminals office the streets makes this operation a success.”
