Mayor Jose “Joey” Torres is hosting a foreclosure prevention workshop at John F. Kennedy High School on Saturday morning.
Paterson has partnered with local realtors and nonprofit Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA). Residents having a tough time making mortgage payments are being asked to attend.
Homeowners should bring:
- Mortgage Statement
- Property Tax Bill
- 30 days’ current paystubs/other sources of Income
- Two months of bank statements
- Hardship letter (write in your own words why you cannot afford your mortgage payment)
- Current utility bill.
Workshops will run throughout Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at 61 Preakness Avenue. To reserve a seat call 973-859-2304.
