A city food truck worker was shot during a robbery at the intersection of Peach and Plum streets early Saturday morning, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Two masked men approached the 28-year-old victim working in a food truck at around 3:42 a.m. and demanded money.
The victim refused and was shot once, authorities said. Both suspects then fled the area, according to police.
Police responded to reports of gunfire in the area, but could not locate a scene. Moments later, police received information a gunshot victim had arrived at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment.
