The Paterson Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is providing access to an warming center for those in need of a place to keep warm from the frigid temperature.

Those in need of assistance are asked to contact the police department at 973-321-1111.

“Due to the high cold temperatures, many city residents have lost heat and suffered weather-related damages to their homes,” mayor Jane Williams-Warren said. “We take the current extreme weather condition very seriously and would like to offer those families affected by this cold-wave, to our Welcoming Center, which offers residents a safe and family-oriented, environment.”
