During the past several months as the ex-campaign manager for Glenn Brown, I had had the unique pleasure and honor to see Paterson and her wonderful citizens from all communities up close and personal.
I have felt the yearning desire from her citizens to make this city not only safer but also to make Paterson the best she can be. I believe that Paterson’s best days are ahead of her. We need a city government and more specifically a mayor who will not only be compassionate but efficient.
A mayor that will change the culture of this city. A mayor who will dispel the myth that anything goes in Paterson. A mayor who will inspire our citizens to believe in our city again. A mayor who will engender trust and faith in our city government. And a mayor who will ask not what the city can do for us but what we can do for our city.
That person in my view is Andre Sayegh, councilman of the 6th Ward of Paterson.
He has shown a commitment to this city that I have rarely seen in a public official. He is accessible and he keeps his word. He has bought economic development to the 6th Ward in unprecedented levels. He has developed relationships with the police department, our new governor and the county which will be critical for our city going forward. And I plan to work day and night over the next one hundred days to ensure his victory.
I’m proud to call him a friend but that’s not why I’m voting for him. I’m voting for him because he will get the job done.
