A pair of city men were arrested with marijuana labeled “Paris” and “Space Monkey Meds” in a traffic stop on West Broadway late Sunday afternoon, according to Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik.
Mohammad Odeh, 23, and Altin Malik, 20, were arrested on drug charges. Both men were in a car driven by Odeh that failed to signal during a turn on West Broadway and Union Avenue at around 5 p.m.
Authorities confiscated 10 bags of marijuana in the stop and seized $2,000 in suspected drug money.
Odeh had 6 while Malik had 4 bags of marijuana, authorities said.
Malik had 1 plastic bag labeled “Paris” containing marijuana in the front right jacket pocket and 3 sealed bags labeled “Space Monkey Meds” with four grams of the drug in the interior right jacket pocket.
Odeh had 1 bag labeled “Paris” and 4 sealed bags labeled “Space Monkey Meds” on the floor behind the driver’s seat. Authorities found 1 open plastic container that had the monkey meds label.
Odeh had $500 in his left pocket and $1,500 in his wallet.
Odeh is charged with drug possession, distribution, and distribution in a school zone while Malik is charged with possession.
Authorities issued Odeh summonses for failure to give proper signal, improper safety glass, operation of a vehicle while in possession of drugs.
Both were arrested and later released pending a court appearance.
