A city man sustained multiple gunshot wounds in a shooting on 12th Avenue, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Authorities said the 34-year-old victim was shot on 12th Avenue and Auburn Street at around 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday.
Police rushed the victim to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment. He is in critical condition, authorities said.
The shooting was the second incident in an eight-hour span. At 2:20 a.m., a domestic violence suspect, Javeska R. Uter, 29-years-old, of Paterson, was injured in a shooting few blocks away on Godwin Avenue and Carrol Street.
Uter was charged with domestic violence offenses. Authorities said at the time of the domestic incident he had in possession a handgun. He was charged with weapons offenses and endangering three children.
