A man from Bloomfield was wounded in a shooting in Paterson early Wednesday morning, authorities said.

The victim, 27-year-old, was shot while sitting in a vehicle on Ellison Street at around 1:40 a.m. Police responded to report of a shooting in the area of Ellison Street between Summer and Carroll streets, but were unable to locate a victim or crime scene.

A short time later, police were notified a victim was being transported to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center by private vehicle for treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.
