A man from Prospect Park became the fourth victim in a series of four shootings under 16 hours in Paterson.
The victim, 22-year-old, was shot in the area of Highland and Sparrow streets at around 2:37 p.m. on Saturday, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Authorities said the victim got himself to Joseph’s Regional Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.
Earlier, in a series of three separate shootings that started late Friday night into Saturday morning, a boy, woman, and man were hurt.
At 10:40 p.m. on Friday, a 23-year-old man arrived at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center seeking treatment for non-fatal gunshot wounds.
Police have not yet located a crime scene.
At 1:17 a.m. on Saturday, a 33-year-old woman was shot during a robbery by assailants on Market Street and Memorial Drive.
Police said the victim sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound. She was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The woman was a passenger in a vehicle when she was robbed by multiple unidentified suspects, authorities said.
At 3:05 a.m., a 17-year-old boy was shot on East 24th Street and 12th Avenue.
