Paterson developer putting up $4 million apartment complex on Governor Street

welcome-to-paterson

A developer is building a four-story residential complex which will have 27 apartments on Governor Street.

Municipal officials approved the $4 million project late last month. The developer, Charles Florio, will demolish the existing one-story building at 190-194 Governor Street to build the housing complex.

The building’s ground floor will have 17 parking spaces. Second, third, and fourth floors will each have 2 studio units, 6 one-bedroom apartments, and 1 two-bedroom units. In all, the building will have 27 apartment units.

Apartments will range from 331 to 908 square feet.

Florio said he will have the existing building demolished in the next several weeks. He said the new complex will be constructed in the next 12 to 18 months.

Municipal documents provided by the Planning Board say the project will cost $6 million. However, Florio estimated the project will cost $4 million.

Florio’s firm JCM Investors purchased the property through a public auction earlier in the year, according to municipal documents.

On governor street, might as well build it in Baghdad. It would be safer there then on Governor. And at that address there isn’t any guns or gangs or stash spots in that abando. Good luck but I think you bit off more then you can chew
