25-year-old man injured in Paterson shooting

A city man was injured in a shooting on Butler Street late Monday night, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victim, 25-year-old, was shot at around 11:36 p.m. Police responded to report of a shooting in the area of Mercer and Franklin streets, but could not locate a victim or crime scene. A short time later, police were advised a man had been shot on Butler Street.

Police said the victim sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound. He was rushed to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
