Man killed in early morning shooting in Paterson

A man was killed in a shooting on East 25^th Street early Thursday morning, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Police responded to report of a deceased man lying on the street in the area of 968 East 25^th Street at around 1:32 a.m.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to the medical examiner’s office to confirm identity and for an autopsy. Authorities said an autopsy will take place later today.

Police continue to investigate the incident.

I grew up and lived on this street for over 25 years right next door to the address they said. Over the years that street just kept getting worse and worse. Thank God I'm out of there! Wouldn't want my daughters growing up in a neighborhood where they have to fear for their life walking out their house. I blame the night club/restaurant on 21st Ave where you have an 18 year old+ crowd on Wednesday and Thursday partying, drinking, and acting wild. We would always be sleeping and wake up from hearing a crowd of people fighting, arguing, and shootings.
