A city man was injured in a shooting on East Main Street on Monday night, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victim, 26-year-old, arrived at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.

Police received information that shots were fired in the the area of North 1st and East Main streets at around 9:35 p.m. Police found evidence of a shooting, but no victims. The victim arrived at the hospital a short time later.

Authorities continue to investigate the shooting.
