Paterson man wounded in Van Houten Street shooting


A city man was wounded in a shooting on Van Houten Street early Saturday morning, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victim, 23-year-old, arrived at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound, authorities said. Police were dispatched to Van Houten Street between Straight and Auburn streets at around 1:18 a.m.

Police located a crime scene, but no victims in the area. Police were advised a victim arrived at the hospital.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit at 973-321-1342.

      Unfortunately I live in the area for the past 30 years also you have to be blind as a bat if can't see what's going on in any area's where drugs and prostitution occurs in high frequency
