A city woman was injured in a shooting on 6th Avenue early Sunday morning, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
The victim, 33-year-old, arrived at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound, authorities said.
Police believe the victim was shot on 6th Avenue and East 24th Street at around 1:14 a.m. Police had responded to report of shots fired in the area, but could not locate a victim. A crime scene was located in the area.
She is the second woman shot in Paterson this weekend. On Friday night, 43-year-old Petra Rhoden was shot while making a DoorDash delivery in the area of Harrison Street and Rosa Parks Boulevard.
