Three 14-year-olds shot in Paterson, prosecutor says

Three 14-year-olds were injured in a shooting on Hamilton Avenue on Monday night, according to information released by Passaic County prosecutor Camelia Valdes.

The three victims were struck by gunfire at about 8:44 p.m. on Hamilton Avenue and Summer Street.

Their injuries were non-fatal, said authorities.

Law enforcement officials do not believe the latest shooting is related to the killing of a 13-year-old last week.

The victims were taken to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment.

You have the sheriff officer working hard for one week and then they take off on a Monday.. this Paterson mayor is a joke and Paterson is a joke. Killings are never going to stop in Paterson. There’s a lot of stuff that still doesn’t make the paper I’m still waiting for that couple who got kill and Burn the house down the house was chained up so the fire department couldn’t come in

And why are so minor children out in the streets without an adult?I think parents should start getting locked up every time they are being neglectful or their kids under 18 commit a crime. That's what it will take for parents to finally realize what it means to ve a parent. It is not ok for kids to be unsupervised. What do you think happens when kids are out in the streets? I just don't get it. No responsibility, no morals, no ethics, either in parents or officials.

  Parenting these days is probably the reasoning for it. Coming from a family that never let me go outside, most parents should know better to not let their kids go out alone with friends late at night, especially in Paterson. Just too dangerous these days..
