Paterson: 1 killed, 1 wounded in Ellison Street shooting


One man was killed and another was wounded in a shooting on Ellison Street early Sunday morning, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Police identified the deceased victim as 38-year-old Richard Henry of Paterson. Police located Henry and another victim, 23-year-old Carlos Munoz of Paterson, with apparent gunshot wounds outside of 43 Ellison Street at around 1:30 a.m.

Henry succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. Munoz was taken to St. Joseph’s University Medical for treatment.

Police said Munoz is in stable condition at the hospital.

Authorities continue to investigate the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call the Paterson Police Detective Bureau at 973-321-1120.

    Wow this mayor has been really great ( sarcasm). First no elected official should be allowed to run for any office unless you are truly an American, born in the USA. Doesn't matter what country you came from but u if you are not born here u truly dont get what it is to be an American and trully understand the thinking of a true American. And for.America to stay America we need REAL Americans. If your not born here you also wont trully get what I am saying.
