A city man was killed and another was injured in a shooting a block away from Eastside High School late Friday afternoon, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Police identified the deceased as 22-year-old Sadott Free. He was rushed to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment, but succumbed to his injuries, authorities said.
The second victim, 24-year-old Quadir McRae, arrived at the hospital in a private vehicle. He is in stable condition, police said.
Both men were struck by gunfire when a shooting occurred outside 378 Rosa Parks Boulevard at around 4:58 p.m., police said.
