61-year-old Paterson man wounded in Redwood Avenue shooting

An elderly city man was injured in a shooting on Redwood Avenue on Sunday night, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victim, 61-year-old, was wounded when shots were fired on Redwood Avenue between Crosby and Union avenues at around 9:17 p.m.

Police rushed the victim to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment. His injuries are non-fatal.

Over the past three days, four people were struck by gunfire. One man was killed and three others injured.

Police continue to investigate the shooting. Anyone with information is being asked to call the Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit at 973-321-1342.
