Three people were arrested in a raid at a house of prostitution on Main Street, according to public safety director Jerry Speziale.
Felipe Valez, 44, of Paterson; Glenys Parra-Lopez, of Bronx, NY; and Maria Richiez, of Providence, RI, were arrested on Tuesday in the raid at the second-floor apartment of 401 Main Street.
Valez allegedly operated a house of prostitution out of his apartment, police said. He was charged with promoting prostitution, maintaining a nuisance, possession of marijuana, and possession of cocaine.
Parra-Lopez and Richiez were each charged with prostitution, police said.
Police recovered a jar of marijuana, a jar of cocaine, and $913 in prostitution proceeds in the raid.
Spezile said police received information the apartment was being used as a house of prostitution. He said complaints from area residents specified during all hours of the day men were entering the second floor to engage alleged prostitutes in sex acts.
