A bar owner has been charged for allegedly purchasing dozens of cases of beers from an unauthorized distributor, according to public safety director Jerry Speziale.

Lorenzo Galindo, owner of the Latin Bar at 410-12 Main Street, was charged with improper transportation of alcohol and purchasing alcohol from an unauthorized distributor on Friday, police said. He was also issued a summons for blocking interior of the premises from public view.

Police observed Galindo offloading cases of beer from a private vehicle into the establishment. Police determined the alcohol was purchased from an unauthorized distributor.

Police seized 46 cases of beers during the investigation. 18 cases of Heineken, 10 cases of Corona, 10 cases of Modelo, and 8 cases of Coors beers were seized, police said.

Lol many bars and even packaged goods stores buy their beer from costcos and bjs. Paterson PD has nothing better to do.

Most bars do this. I applaud Paterson police or attacking ALL illegial activities. Many Paterson residents are too stupid to realize why you need to attack all level of crimes.

Send the IRS and ICE there.
