A health alert has been issued for seniors who visited the Diamond Years Adult Day Care over the past two weeks.
Health officials are asking all seniors and adults who visited the day care at 360 Clinton Street in Haledon to contact their health department. They may have been exposed to a case of Covid-19, according to the alert.
“We have linked a senior that tested positive for COVID-19 to Diamond Years Adult. The person was there on March 27th, 2020. While it has been a few days ago, the period still falls close to the mean of the incubation period,” said health officer Paul Persaud when reached for comment on Thursday. “Seniors are at increased risk of serious illness and death from COVID-19. There should be no gathering of seniors or anyone at this time.”
Residents of Paterson, Totowa, North Haledon, Prospect Park, and Hawthorne should contact the Division of Health in Paterson at (973) 321-1277 to leave a message with their name, number and wait for a health official to contact them.
