Irvington man wounded in Paterson shooting


A man from Irvington was wounded in a shooting on 19th Avenue late Friday night, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victim, 19-year-old, was shot in the area of 19th Avenue and East 40th Street at around 11:03 p.m.

Police responded to report of a shooting in the area, but could not locate any victims.

Moments later, police were advised a shooting victim arrived at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.
