A city man was arrested early Thursday morning for alleged possession of vials of crack cocaine and bundles of heroin, according to Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik.
Tremain Murphy, 37-year-old, has been charged with six counts of drug possession and distribution, authorities said.
Murphy was observed standing in the doorway of the apartment building at 43 Carroll Street at around 1:38 a.m.
Patrol officer Angelo Calabro exited his vehicle and approached Murphy. He observed Murphy reach for his waistband.
Calabro ordered Murphy to remove his hands away from his waist. Murphy complied. The officer conducted a pat down that yielded a large plastic bag with 47 vials of crack cocaine and 9 bundles of heroin. A bundle contains 10 packets of heroin.
Murphy was placed on a warrant and charged, authorities said.
