The number of people tested positive for the new coronavirus in Paterson increased by 25 to 6,246 on Thursday afternoon, according to municipal government data.

Daily new cases have been dropping since the beginning of May with some fluctuations. The three-day moving average of daily cases stands at 19.

No new fatalities were reported on Thursday. Paterson has 366 deaths from Covid-19.

Paterson has the largest outbreak of the virus in Passaic County.

Passaic County has 15,959 infections with 903 deaths. Overall, New Jersey has 157,815 cases with 11,401 fatalities.
