A city man was wounded in a shooting on North Main Street early Monday afternoon, making him the 16th person shot in Paterson over a violent eight-day span.
The victim, 26-year-old, was struck by gunfire on North Main Street at around 1:20 p.m., according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Police located him at the scene and rushed him to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Since May 25, 16 people have been hurt in a surge of shootings in Paterson. Two died from their wounds.
