The number of people tested positive for the new coronavirus in Paterson increased by 11 to 6,507 on Wednesday afternoon, according to municipal government data.

Daily new cases have been dropping since the beginning of May with some fluctuations. The three-day moving average of daily cases stands at 10.

Two new deaths were reported on Wednesday. Paterson has 304 deaths from Covid-19.

Paterson has the largest outbreak of the virus in Passaic County.

Passaic County has 16,524 infections with 982 deaths. Overall, New Jersey has 165,346 cases with 12,377 fatalities.
