The number of people tested positive for the new coronavirus in Paterson increased by 7 to 6,514 on Thursday afternoon, according to municipal government data.

Daily new cases have been dropping since the beginning of May with some fluctuations. The three-day moving average of daily cases stands at 10.

No new fatalities were reported on Thursday. Paterson has 304 deaths from Covid-19.

Paterson has the largest outbreak of the virus in Passaic County.

Passaic County has 16,555 infections with 984 deaths. Overall, New Jersey has 165,816 cases with 12,443 fatalities.
